WHY IS CARBON IMPORTANT?

Did you know that the legal definition of “organic fertilizer” must first and foremost be a fertilizer that contains “carbon”? [AAPFCO Official Terms, T-12]. Carbon is at the basis of all organic life, separating inorganic forms by the lack of carbon. The marker of good soil has always been and always will be a strong carbon content to support a high organic matter (including a dense soil biology profile).

Organic Matter in the soil typically averages 1% to 6% in today’s soils. Where 1% is a near desert-like state, and 6% is minimalistic. 1% of Organic Matter in 1 acre weighs about 20,000 lbs – that is massive! It takes about 10 lbs of Organic Material to decompose to 1 lb of Organic Matter. To replenish 1%, you would need to introduce 200,000 lbs of Organic Material. When biological activity is low Organic Matter plummets, as the bulk of Organic Matter comes from decomposed plant fodder and roots. Every year as biology gets worse from caustic chemical applications and soil toxicities, Organic Matter is declining without farmer input. For every 1% increase in the Organic Matter, you gain more than 30,000 gallons of water holding capacity in your soil per acre. That is a lot of water. Droughts should be non-existent even in a season that sees little rain. 

Organic Matter is comprised of dead microorganisms, earthworms, insects, old plant roots, crop fodder, recently added manures. Well decomposed Organic Matter is called humus, or humate when referring to the input. Another type of Organic Matter is Carbon. Natural Organic Matter decomposition takes place in soil with proper amounts of Soil Ecology (microorganisms, earthworms, insects, bacteria). When soil lacks the necessary characteristics to replenish Organic Matter on its own, the input can significantly benefit the increase of soil’s Organic Matter.

An excess of Na Salts and Chlorides can crush production. They can come from your inputs and/or your water. We recommend Apical Testing to see what’s in your inputs, water, soil, and sap.

These sources undergoe our trade secret Eden Synergy micronization process which maximizes immediate bioavailability and combines our ingredient sources with our flagship BlueGold® technology. The result is a super organic material input used between 8-32oz per acre. 

We highly recommend to pair HCF Carbon with BlueGold® Amino Acids or Fusion Compost VEG or FLOWER. It is important to feed Nitrogens with Carbons in balanced ratios.

CAUTION

BlueGold® HCF Carbon should only be applied in accordance with an Apical Soil/Plant Sap Analysis. Results should dictate ongoing application rates. This is a very powerful input. Always err on the side of caution and use lesser rates on initial use. BlueGold® HCF Carbon will greatly enhance reproduction.

Do not use with synthetically enhanced or high Na/Cl grow media with BlueGold®. By itself, BlueGold® will not harm ANY crop, plant, biology, system, human, animal, environment, pollinator or beneficial (including birds, butterflies, earthworms, etc.). Do NOT combine with pesticides/chemicals/plant cleaners/etc. Very recent or current use of chemicals like fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, algaecides, bactericides, miticides, pesticides, biocides, fumigants, plant growth regulators, pH Up/Down chemicals, dyes, etc., – all can cause an unfavorable interaction due to the Wetting Agent properties of BlueGold® Solutions, which can magnify the strength of said chemical. Strengthened doses of those chemicals can result in direct stress, burning, or death of plants. BlueGold® Solutions by themselves, without chemical interactions, will never cause these issues in any plant or soil (when used as directed). Users must respect BlueGold® labels and reduce NPK/synthetic inputs by +/- 90%. If by user choice, against our directions/recommendations, to use chemical inputs by combining with BlueGold®, they must be reduced by 90% or more and then dialed up as you see fit. If you encounter problems in the plants from the chemicals by your choice, then STOP. If you quickly move the pH to 6.4 with the help of pH adjusters, without adjusting inputs, you’re drastically making inputs more available, which results in stressed, burned, or dead plants from too big of a hit from the nutrients that are now available at a much higher % than previously. Especially when all the excess stored up chemicals inputs, flood into the plants at even higher EC/PPM values. Likewise, if you do not adjust inputs while using BlueGold®, as soil/sap pH is driven to 6.4, the same can happen over an extended period depending on soil and watering conditions. We do not advocate mixing BlueGold® with any chemicals. This all only applies to chemical-based products and does not apply to most organic-based products. We strongly recommend avoiding ocean-based products high in Na Sodium, Chlorides, and other salts with our Solutions as well as Sulfur based products, salt and heavy metal loaded humates, manures, and composts, etc. We are happy to look at a product’s Certificate of Analysis [COA] to verify its use with BlueGold®.
